India Delhi: Chaos made city

I arrived in Delhi around midnight and discovered that the rickshaws do not rest in this city for a single minute. I stayed in Paharganj, backpackers neighborhood, crowded with markets, noise and little taste of India but at least it contains cheap hostels, it is close to the train station and halfway to the new and old city.

Old Delhi, New Delhi. On the simple side, with endless alleys, Muslim, with thousands of smells, bazaars, the huge fortification on the banks of the Yamuna, temples and mosques.

On the other hand: new, colonial, sophisticated, in perpetual state of works since the English arrived more than 100 years ago, with monumental buildings although, fortunately, you never just forgot that you are in the heart of India.
