I have spent two nights in Arica and I have dedicated myself mostly to the contemplative life and now to catch up a bit with the posts, although I am aware that I will have many pending for when the trip ends.
Although many told me there wasn't much to see or do here, I think they were wrong about something: the magnificent sunsets in the tranquility of their beach.
Both yesterday and today I have witnessed how the star king sank in the waters of the Pacific and who falls injured spilling his blood in a mirror. From an orange yellow, the clouds and the sea have turned to an almost carmine red going through different orange tones that have left the scarce public speechless. Also today, in the second act of such acclaimed success of Mother Nature, the view has been accompanied by tens of thousands of migratory birds that tore the sky seeking to steal some prominence from the Sun and attract the eyes of those human beings. How small we seem sometimes.
